Building Materials

All building materials must be in good condition, free of any screws or nails, and meet the size requirements specified below.

• Electrical components (conduit, receptacles/switches/faceplates, wire)

• Flooring

  • Tile, laminate, and linoleum *Must be new and in original packaging

  • Hardwood *Must be in good condition, free of any glue, and in a reusable quantity

  • Carpet *Must be new

• Insulation *Must be new and in original packaging

• Lumber/Trim *Must be at least 6’ in length and no more than 12’ in length

• Paint *Latex only (we do not take oil-based paint)

• Roofing *Must be new and in original packaging

• Sheet goods (drywall, plywood, OSB, etc.) *Must be at least ½ sheet or 4’ x 4’

• Siding *Must be new and in original packaging

• Cabinet set

• Countertop *Must be with a cabinet set OR a straight piece that does not have a sink cutout (we do not accept L-shaped countertops on their own)

• Blinds *must be cordless (we do not take corded blinds due to child choking hazards)

All electronics must be in 100% working order and have necessary cords/hardware.

• Computer accessories (mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc.) (we do not take laptops, computer towers, printers or monitors)

• Flat screen television (we do not take rear projection or tube style televisions)

• Media (DVDs, records, CDs, etc.)

• Music equipment (speakers, amp, stereo, etc.)

• Television equipment (surround sound, DVD player, streaming device, etc.)

All furniture must be in good condition, fully assembled (unless new and in original packaging) and free of any rips, stains, or broken parts.​
