Donate Items

Donating your gently used home improvement goods helps fund affordable housing—and it's easy! 

 Can we accept your donation? Review our guidelines to find out. Appliances and electronics must be in complete working order. Furniture must be free from rips, tears, stains and pet or smoke odors. ReStore reserves the right to decline drop-off and pick-up donations based on the guidelines provided, salability and overall safety.

Thank you for your support! We have to say "No, thank you." to these items: 

​

  • ​Armoire-style furniture  

  • Baby items such as: cribs, car seats, children’s folding chairs/stools, gates

  • Chemicals, pesticides, flammable materials

  • Clothing

  • Commercial doors

  • Computer monitors, towers, printers and laptops

  • Countertops with sink cutout or L-shape (unless with cabinet set)

  • Cubicles

  • Executive desks (4’L or larger)

  • Exercise equipment (weight benches, treadmills, ellipticals, yoga balls, weights, etc.)

  • Fire safes

  • Garage doors

  • Ladders

  • Mattresses and box springs

  • Medical items (crutches, wheelchairs, shower chairs, hospital beds)

  • Oil-based paint

  • Pet/baby gates

  • Pianos and organs

  • Play sets/swing sets/slides

  • Satellite/cable equipment

  • Shower doors

  • Sleeper sofa

  • Tires

  • Trash compactors

  • Tube or rear projection style televisions

  • Unframed glass or mirrors

  • Unassembled furniture (unless it is in the original box)

  • Used carpet, laminate, tile, and linoleum

  • Used ceiling tiles

We offer free pickup at your home or business for qualifying donations. Schedule a pick-up online or email donations@lexhabitat.org.

Drop Donation Off

Drop-Off Hours:
Wednesday - Saturday
9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ReStore staff will unload and provide a donation receipt. If you have a large load (more than what can fit inside a personal vehicle), please give us advance notice of your drop-off donation by emailing donations@lexhabitat.org or calling 859-254-6724.

Deconstruction
Our trained and fully insured staff may be able to carefully remove items you would like to donate, such as kitchen cabinets and countertops, from your home.
